The 2025 Robotics for Good Challenge focuses on leveraging the power of robotics and AI to address global issues aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants are tasked with designing and building innovative robotic solutions that can contribute to solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges, including climate action, healthcare, and clean energy.

Competition Fields

  1. Battle of Tribes
  2. Battle of Tribes is a high-stakes competitive challenge where two teams—Orange and Blue—go head-to-head to protect their tribe and secure victory. Your mission is clear: outsmart the opponent, hold the line, and turn the tide in your favor. Prepare your robotic forces, craft your strategy, and face off in an intense battle of wits and precision. In Battle of Tribes, every decision counts, and only the most skilled and strategic teams will emerge victorious. Are you ready to defend your tribe and claim the victory?

    A fast-paced, strategy-based robot battle field simulating traditional African warrior conflict and tactical missions.

    Skills Focused: Coding logic, precision driving, team tactics, AI-assisted actions.

  3. Skyline Adventures
  4. The Skyline Adventures is ENJOY AI's Eagle drone competition. Students are required to comprehensively apply various technologies such as visual recognition and programming control. They use drones to complete actions such as take off, movement, object recognition, etc. This competition can stimulate students' imagination and cultivate their interest in aerospace.

Competition Format

  1. Stage 1: Group Stage
    • 100 teams (40 junior, 40 senior, 20 advanced)
    • Divided into 14 pools per category (5 junior, 5 senior, 4 advanced)
    • Each pool: 4–6 teams, round-robin matches
    • Top 2 from each group advance
  2. Stage 2: Knockout Rounds
    • Quarterfinals → Semifinals → 3rd place & Grand Final
    • Matches judged on a mix of: mission completion, strategy use, Programming creativity, engineering design
  3. Awards:
    • Champion (Junior, Senior, & advanced) - represents Uganda at global finals in China
    • Best robot design
    • Best team spirit
    • Judges' cultural excellence pick

9:00 AM - 9:30 AM Arrival, Registration & Team Setup Teams, teachers, and guests sign in at the registration desk. Teams setup their robots
9:30 AM - 10:00 AM Welcome Remarks & Opening Ceremony Welcome remarks by the organizers, keynote speech from chief guest
10:00 AM - 10:30 AM Judges' Briefing and Team Orientation Overview of the 2025-2026 challenges
10:30 AM -12:30 PM Group Stage Matches (Battle of Tribes + Skyline Adventures) Teams are grouped and compete to select the winning two teams from each of the 8 groups per category. 16 teams advance to knockout stages
12:30 PM - 1:00 PM Lunch Break + Booth Exhibits (STEM corners, partner booths) Refreshments provided, networking among participants and industry professionals
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Knockout Rounds (Quarterfinals & Semifinals) Top-performing junior, senior, & advanced teams compete in the live robotics challenge
2:00 PM - 2:30 PM Robot Recharge, Entertainment, and Cultural Showcase Referees finalize scores, Finalists organise robots, cultural shows by each school
2:30 PM - 3:00 PM Final Matches (Junior + Senior + Advanced) Two junior & two senior teams battle to decide the winning teams
3:00 PM - 3:30 PM Awards, Speeches & Closing Ceremony Announcing and awarding teams, communication about next steps and closing remarks
3:30 PM - 4:00 PM Media Briefing, Photos, Departure Media interviews, photo moments and departure at leisure
